Winning the local pack,
honestly.

For a local clinic, the map pack is not a result, it is the result. Three slots stand between a search and a booking. This is how you earn one.

For a dermatology clinic in Jumeirah or a GP in Marylebone, the three businesses shown in Google’s map pack capture the overwhelming majority of clicks. Everything below it is a consolation prize. So the local game is narrow and specific, and, done honestly, entirely winnable.

The Google Business Profile is the engine

It is not a directory listing you set and forget. It is a living asset: categories chosen precisely, services itemised, real photos added monthly, questions answered, posts published. A neglected profile is the single most common reason a good clinic stays invisible.

Reviews, earned, never bought

Volume, recency and the words patients use all matter. We build a gentle, compliant system for asking at the right moment, never incentivising, never inventing. Bought reviews are not just unethical; they are increasingly easy for Google to detect and punish.

We have never bought a review or a link. Not once, in fifteen years. The rankings that result are slower to arrive and impossible to take away.

Location pages that deserve to exist

One genuinely useful page per neighbourhood you serve, with real specifics, not spun duplicates, paired with proper medical schema so Google understands who the clinicians are and what they treat. This is where most clinic sites fail: forty thin pages that read like a mail-merge.

A clinic we tendedA three-doctor Dubai practice, written off as un-rankable. We rebuilt the site, wrote forty-two treatment pages with proper schema, and earned local-pack visibility across seventeen high-intent neighbourhoods, and a +284% rise in organic patients in a year.

Where to begin

If you run a clinic, start with the profile and the reviews; they move fastest. Then build the location and treatment pages properly. If that sounds like a lot of patient, careful work, it is. It is also exactly the kind of work our Dubai and Mumbai practices were built to do. When you are ready, write to us.

What actually drives the local pack

Google's local ranking rests on three pillars, relevance, distance and prominence, and most clinics over-invest in one while ignoring the others. Here is how to read them, and where the quick wins usually hide.

The three local-pack factors, and how to move each
FactorWhat it meansHow you move it
RelevanceHow well you match the searchPrecise categories, itemised services, treatment pages
DistanceProximity to the searcherHonest location pages; you can't fake an address
ProminenceHow known & trusted you areReal reviews, citations, mentions, links

The mistakes that keep good clinics invisible

Three errors recur across almost every clinic we audit. First, an inconsistent name, address and phone number scattered across old directories. Google reads the contradiction as doubt. Second, a single thin "our locations" page instead of a genuine page per area served. Third, no review rhythm at all, so the profile looks abandoned. None of these is hard to fix; all of them are quietly costing patients every week.

The patient, honest version of this work is the same one we apply to every SEO engagement, and a fast, accessible clinic website underneath it makes every other signal land harder. Local SEO is slow to start and impossible to take away once earned. For a clinic, that is exactly the kind of asset worth building.
